Summer is here! And that means, regardless of your climate, that it’s time to get your glow on. Today I’m going to be showing you how I get bronzy and glowy for a summer’s day out, whether I have the dark tan or not.
1. Bronzer (Obviously)
I’m going to be skipping the contour today and going straight for bronzer, which will give my face a naturally contoured look anyway. I apply it just under my cheekbones, but not far enough down that it’s in the hollows of my cheeks. Just enough to leave room for blush. For this, you can use either shimmery or matte bronzer. I’m using Milani Baked Bronzer in Soleil.
I like to dust a bit of bronzer across my forehead, and ever so slightly on my nose, where the sun would naturally hit. Don’t go overboard — you don’t want it to look muddy.
I’m applying Dallas by Benefit to my cheeks slightly above the apple, since my face is rounder and applying blush further back helps slim your face. I love this color all year round because the color suits all seasons.
My favorite part! I’m using a small fan brush and dusting Becca’s Opal across my cheekbones, browbone, and lightly across my nose. Additional places you can add highlighter for an extra glow is in the inner corners of your eyes, your cupids bow (the little divet above your upper lip), and above your eyebrows.
4. Lip Color
Your choice of lip color plays a huge role in the glowiness of your face. For summer, I love going with bright reds, corals, and peaches. Today I’m using Nyx Retractable Lip Liner in Red. I ended up loving how this color looked on it’s own so I didn’t use a lipstick on top, but feel free to do so!
Lip gloss really brings the whole look together if glow is what you’re going for. I’m using the Milani Lip Gloss in Nude Touch. This gloss has a golden undertone to it, which I felt really complemented the red underneath.
And you’re good to glow! I hope you’re all enjoying your day, your summer, and your year! Thanks for reading!
