I love a good gold eye look. Gold is such a complimentary color that suits basically every skin tone and eye color. Today I’m going to show you a super simple gold eye look that involves only a few eyeshadows from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette (or whatever colors you own that are similar!). Here’s the finished look:
Super basic, I know, but I think it’s really pretty and wearable for summer. Hope you enjoy!
I like to take a piece of tape and angle it along my eye like so to keep crisp, sharp edges. Not necessary by any means, just something I like to do. If you’re using tape, be sure to stick it and unstick it from your hand a couple times to remove some of the adhesive so it’s more gentle around your eye area.
First, I’m taking a mixture of Milk Chocolate (a warm chocolate brown) and Semi-Sweet (a cooler chocolate) and blending it into my crease with a fluffy crease brush. I’m using the It Cosmetics no. 105 brush.
Next I’m taking Triple Fudge (a deep brown) and using a pointed crease brush to blend it into the outer “V” of my eye. This adds depth to the look and makes it a little smokier. The brush I’m using is a Mary Kay eye crease brush (I’m very skeptical about Mary Kay nowadays, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them).
Sorry for the blurry picture! All I’m doing here is taking Creme Brulee (a warm gold) and packing it onto my lid, dragging it from the middle of my lid to the inner corner. I’m using a Wet N’ Wild flat brush (no name, sorry!).
Here I’m taking a pointed brush with no name and putting Champagne Truffle (a shimmery pink-y champagne) in the very inner corner of my eye. This will open the eye up and make it sparkle.
Lastly, I’m using White Chocolate (a yellow-ish matte white) to highlight the browbone. It’s subtle but puts a finishing touch on the look. Again, this brush has no name.
I’m using the Maybelline Eye Studio Eyeliner (a black gel liner) to draw a small wing. I like to keep the tape on for this part to make a nice, sharp edge. Any black liner will do for this step!
Lastly, mascara! I’m using the It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara. It’s one of my new favorites! Use any lengthening mascara of your choice.
Apply the rest of your face makeup, and you’re done! For this look, I used a pink-ish berry lip liner by Nyx for a summery vibe. But use whatever lip color you’d like!
I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial! Let me know what you think in the comments below!
